Pakistan is not a lawless country and the law of jungle is not applicable here, in any case, rather she has a well-defined law in the form of the 1973 Constitution.
The Constitution deals with all kinds of crimes; from petty offences like stealth to murder and blasphemy.
Pakistan is being devoured by such heinous acts of killings in the disguise of honour-killing and blasphemy. Fear is looming that killings due to blasphemy will surpass that of honour killings.
Every other day we see people being allegedly murdered brutally in the name of blasphemy. The enraged mob without any confirmation come forward and kill the accused.
The mob has no right to kill anyone while there is authentic law to deal with it. In Pakistan, The Criminal Law Amendment Act 1986 added Section 295C to the Pakistan Penal Code which provides death or life imprisonment to the person accused of blasphemy.
But Pakistanis are famous for transgression and kill the accused, without any proof, before legal proceedings even begin.
Today, another heart-wrenching incident occurred in Sindh’s Mirpur Mathelo where a religious psychopath drowned a young handicapped man, Abbas Kalwar.
According to eyewitnesses, the killer poured kerosene oil on the deceased to burn him alive but he jumped into the water pond where the murderer drowned him. For God’s sake let the law play its role. Such contemptible crimes must be wiped off from our beloved country.
