In a stunning move, Kattan’s sisters separate the ways, but it is a business dissolution with good intentions.
Huda Beauty, founded by Huda, Mona and Alya Kattan, assigns its ownership to the Kayali trademark, co -founded by Huda and Mona in 2018.
The two brands, which have already made great waves in the world of beauty, are now in separate directions.
Mona Kattan will continue to drive Kayali as Managing Director, collaborating with the world’s Atlantic General Development Company. The independent brand of perfume has made its mark with a variety of 24 fragrances, sold through popular retailers such as Sephora, Walgreens Boots Alliance and Asos.

The separation decision allows Huda Beauty to repurchase a share of the company owned by the TSG Consumer Partners from 2017, as announced in a joint statement by companies.
Huda Beauty, known for its luxurious lashes, makeup and skin care products, has been exponentially developed.
With more than 54.2 million fans on Instagram, it stands high in front of its competitors such as rare beauty (8 million) and Kylie Cosmetics (24.7 million). The statement confirms that Huda Beauty “makes the story as one of the few established beauty brands to return to the founder’s full ownership.”
While the business decision has been in the projects for almost two years, the sisters have taken on Instagram to announce the change to millions of their fans. Huda shared: “Mona and I are here today because we have a very important announcement for Huda Beauty and Kayali.”
He continued, explaining: “We are talking and planning for a few years – almost two years now, if not more. We wanted to talk to you directly because you are our community and they are so important to us. You are the reason we are here”, before We reveal, “Huda Beauty and Kayali is [officially] break. ”
The brothers’ journey together was not always smooth sailing, especially with Mona’s growing passion for the fragrance. Huda admitted: “It was not always easy to work with because he has so much sight and passion.”
Mona, who always dreamed of creating her own fragrance empire, explained that the independent was necessary for her personal and professional development. “I realized through years of treatment that I was very dependent on my sister,” Mona said.

Huda responded with love, recognizing Mona’s desire to come out on her own: “I remember saying to Mona:” People don’t believe in Kayali – you have to do that. ” And she wanted to do it together, but I said, “No, you have to do that.” “Huda continued with honest support for her sister’s journey:” I am so excited to see you bringing your vision to life indefinitely, without anyone holding you back. ”
Mona Kattan took on Instagram to announce: “I’m still soaked in everything! @Kayali is officially independent!”
As for the future, Mona will remain at the helm of Kayali as CEO, with plans to take the fragrance signal at new heights alongside the general Atlantic.
In the meantime, Huda will regain the full ownership of Huda Beauty, continuing to promote the brand as a leader in the beauty industry.
