LONDON/LAHORE: Menswear maestro, Noaman Zakir who disrupted the menswear market with his signature label, Rici Melion has started a new venture in traditional eastern wear for both men and women with a brand new label, Rici Melion East.
Rici Melion East reminisces a bygone era of Nawabs and Begums, encapsulating the traditional craftsmanship of the subcontinent.
The new label seeks to redefine the true royal legacy of the Nawabs and Nizams of former princely states by giving an opportunity to patrons to delve in the regality of Pakistan’s past heritage.
Zakir, who has significantly grown Rici Melion to a household name gained popularity after taking the menswear market by storm, ever since Rici Melion came into existence.
Rici Melion is primarily famous for its signature cuts and premium fabrics which have clothed celebrities like Prime Minister Imran Khan, entrepreneur Javed Afridi and tech millionaire Qasim Asad Salam.
In an exclusive conversation with The Pakistan Daily, Creative Director, Noaman Zakir said: “This very day, 5 years ago, I was entrusted the fort of Rici Melion as the Creative Director. Now, as the luxury designer label continues to rise and go beyond the norm, I have been entrusted to take charge of Rici Melion East, a separate identity to the Brand’s Royal Eastern wear line that will celebrate the story of historical crafts, heritage and old world luxury.
“Luckily, this is just a small footing of what is yet to come, both digitally and physically for our Nawab Sahabs and Begum Sahibas to witness.’’
Rici Melion gained a lot of critical acclaim after it designed the formal outfits for Pakistan Super League’s Peshawar Zalmi.
