Maria B denies official notice in the midst of NCCIA survey

Famous Maria B fashion designer has been subjected to the forefront after a series of controversy over social media positions, legal announcements and public statements on massive and social issues.

The controversy broke out after a supposed government announcement allegedly targeting the Ma-Ria B that was widely released on social media. The designer quickly rejected the document as a possible constructed, stressing that he had not received any official announcement from the authorities.

In a tweet, he said: “No, you can’t be afraid of me … I’ll always talk about Islam and make the Islamic family system, Insha’allah, I haven’t received any official notice … It can be built.”

Her comment came after the news that the National Governmental Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) launched an official investigation following a complaint filed by Naeem Butt (also known as SEEMA Butt).

The complaint claims that Maria B’s social media positions were speaking hate against the transsexual community, especially on a video in which he wrote a private rally in Lahore as “non-Islamic” and urged the authorities to obtain a goal.

Maria B was invited to appear before NCCIA on August 26, with officials warning that non -compliance could lead to the loss of her right to defense, the report said.

The controversy was intensified after previous police arrests of people with transsexuals at the same gathering were rejected by a judge who reported a lack of evidence, missing licenses and controversial conditions surrounding the raid.

Activist Trans Nayyab Ali said the participants were not linked to the Trans rights movement, questioning Maria B’s decision to strengthen the video.

Maria B has previously mixed public debate with honest observations, including February criticism of the “unsuccessful course of women” on Pakistan’s national day, citing hidden external motivations and funding behind the movement.
