Malik Riaz claims his leaked audio is a Deep Fake

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Property billionaire Malik Riaz has claimed that his leaked audio doing the rounds on social media is a product of Deep Fake technology.

In a latest statement shared on his Twitter account, Malik Riaz said that he was not involved in any political campaign and that it was “appalling” that his voice and reference is being misused to settle personal and political scores.

In the leaked audio, Malik Riaz is heard speaking to his daughter, Amber who is discussing an alleged bribe of a diamond ring given to Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife.

Bushra Bibi was purportedly unhappy with a 3 carat diamond ring and demanded a 5 carat one, according to the leaked audio.

Amber Malik can be heard complaining that Imran Khan has personally taken the responsibility for an alleged favour to Malik Riaz.

Amber also mentions Farah, who has been accused of being Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s front woman in various sordid deals.

It has been claimed that Farah Khan and her husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar were the real forces behind Usman Buzdar’s stint as Chief Minister Punjab.

In an earlier leak, Malik Riaz can be heard purportedly speaking to Asif Ali Zardari, claiming that Imran Khan has asked for his help for a possible “patch up” with Zardari.

The timing of the tape appears to be around the Vote of No Confidence, when Khan allegedly tried to use Malik Riaz as a conduit to establish a working relationship with Asif Zardari.

Another purported document is doing the rounds which shows Peshawar Development Authority ordering Bahria Town to stop advertising since they did not have permission and hadn’t received the due No Objection Certificate.

However, Malik Riaz who has himself claimed that he “puts wheels of files” successfully overcame this hurdle and now Bahria Town Peshawar is expected to launch on 14 August 2022.

It has also been claimed that Imran Khan’s government has returned £190 million to Malik Riaz which were proceeds from a fine given to Malik Riaz by the UK’s National Crime Agency.

Investigators working for the NCA secured 9 freezing orders covering a whopping £140 million in funds held in UK bank accounts after allegations that the money may have dubious origins.

A £50 million mansion was also included in the settlement with NCA.

Surreptitiously, the cabinet under the orders of Imran Khan repatriated the funds to Malik Riaz and Ahmed Ali Riaz according to another leaked document.
