Kanye West has installed a lawsuit against the Donda Academy.

The rapper was forced to be tried on April 9, 2025, for a suspected incorrect termination and unpaid salaries of many former teachers.

Now, the 47 -year -old West has agreed on a conditional settlement with Cecilia Hailey, et al, Per Los Angeles Superior Court Documents.

The plaintiffs will submit the dismissal of the case as soon as the West meets the end of the settlement within 45 days, People Magazine He has mentioned.

The lawsuit was filed in April 2023 by Hailey and her daughter Chekarey Byers, who were both fired as teachers at the West private school named by Donda’s late mother.

The mother-daughter duo was reportedly terminated on the interrogation of concerns about the violation of various requirements of the Department of Education on the campus, which has been closed since June 2024.

There was a alleged “lack of security”, there were no nurses or schools in campus and the school did not follow the appropriate “dietary guidelines” for meals, according to complaints.

West allegedly spent $ 10,000 on sushi each week and had served as a students’ meal.

The trial also claims that discrimination against them for being black and “illegally salaries or were repeatedly paid”.

The treatment claims that there were “strict rules and requirements that the school had no choice but to adhere”, such as the ban on students from wearing any color but black head on their finger. Students were also not able to use utensils and were forced to eat lunch on the floor.

In addition, there were no classes on the second floor, because the West allegedly feared the stairs. Also, “reportedly did not allow chairs, so the children had to sit on foam pillows or stand, and the teachers had to stand or use a stool” per suit.

A third teacher of the Donda Academy, Timanii Meeks, then joined the case on June 1 of the same year, per Rolling Stone. The plaintiffs demanded compensation of more than $ 1 million for lost wages and emotional discomfort per ABC 7 news.
