THATTA: Once again Indian security forces violated international laws by intruding into Pakistani territorial waters late on Tuesday night and captured three Pakistani boats with some 16 fishermen on board.
According to officials of Pakistan Fisher Folk Forum, fishermen were busy fishing near Sir Creek when Indian forces riding around 4 boats rounded them and tried to arrest them.
Upon seeing Indian vessels speeding towards them they jumped into the sea in order to save themselves but could not succeed, only four of them managed to swim ashore while 12 were arrested by the Indian forces.
The detained fishermen belonged to Chuch Jahan Khan and Jahangir village located along with Shah Bandar and Keti Bandar coastal areas.
Local spokesman of Pakistan fisherfolk forum Noor Muhammad Thahemore said that Indian aggression was a flagrant violation of international treaties adding that Indian forces captured a vessel and took away 12 fishermen on January 8 as well by illegally entering into Pakistani waterways.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency on Tuesday said that the PMSA apprehended an Indian vessel along with its crew members poaching in the Pakistani exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
