The Sindh government has told the PML-N leadership that IG Sindh was ‘kidnapped’ by Rangers in the wee hours of the night who forced him to issue orders for PML-N leader Captain (r) Safdar’s arrest.
Safdar was arrested from his hotel room in Karachi for allegedly violating the sanctity of the Quaid’s mausoleum.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the wife of Captain Safdar said that she was sleeping when the police barged in.
Senior journalist Hamid Mir tweeted that PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair who went to the police station to meet Captain (r) Safdar after his arrest was informed that the IG was forced to take action.
