Actor Muhammad Usman Malik recently opened up about his distinctive and expressive fashion sense, revealing that dressing boldly was not always easy for him. In a candid interaction, the actor shared that there was a time when he felt judged and restricted because of how he looked, but he has since learned to embrace self-expression without apology.

Speaking about his journey, Usman admitted that criticism once made him cautious about how he presented himself. “I used to feel cagey about expressing myself. I felt judged,” he said. “At one point, I would alter my way of being because of how people reacted. Then I realised that people are going to judge you anyway, so you might as well be yourself.”

The actor, who is often seen experimenting with vibrant colours and unconventional silhouettes, believes fashion is a powerful form of personal expression. Responding to a fan who compared his everyday style to the extravagant looks seen at award shows, Usman laughed it off and said that fashion is simply how he communicates who he is.

“I express myself through fashion,” he explained. “It’s not something I’ve carefully planned or a persona I’m trying to create. This is just me.”

Usman added that he naturally gravitates toward bold, colourful, and maximalist clothing. “I love wearing colours. I love things that are bright and vibrant,” he shared. Over time, he realised that maximalism resonates with his personality. Interestingly, when it comes to personal spaces like his home or vanity van, the actor prefers the opposite. “I like my spaces to be very minimal almost painfully minimal,” he said.

Today, Muhammad Usman Malik stands confident in his individuality, using fashion as a means of freedom rather than restraint. “I’m glad I’ve evolved into someone who dresses the way he wants, consistently and honestly,” he concluded.
