ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is currently underway at the PML-N secretariat in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, today’s meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is said to be important as the PML-N has finalised its strategy against the government, sources claimed.
The meeting will be headed by Maulana Fazlur Rehman and attended by former premier Nawaz Sharif and ex-president Asif Ali Zardari via video-link, and Maryam Nawaz in person, it has been learnt.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has now fully recovered from COVID-19 is also expected to attend the meeting.
It was further learnt that the PML-N will suggest the PDM huddle to announce the date of the long march in the Lahore’s public rally that is scheduled on December 13.
“Deadline for PM Imran Khan’s resignation should be set in Lahore rally”, the PML-N may recommend in today’s meeting.
The top PDM leadership will dwell on future strategies, including resignations from the Parliament, according to sources. They will also discuss upcoming jalsa in Lahore on December 13.
Speaking to media at Jati Umrah, Maryam said that the rally of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Lahore has caused distress among the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
In a statement, the PML-N vice president said that PDM will send Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan back to his home at any cost. We will be considering all the options during the session today, she told.
Maryam Nawaz said that the December 13 rally of the PDM will be a decisive one as it will be a do or die.
