JACOBABAD: The Health Department Sindh observed Breast Feeding Week under the Accelerated Action Plan Program at the PPHI Centre in Jacobabad on Friday.
The District Nutrition Coordinator of PPHI Dr Wajid Ali Bhutto, MCHC Police Headquarter In-charge Dr Abdul Aziz Talani, MCHC Jaffarabad In-charge Dr Abdul Ghaffar Babar, Imran Ali, Ghulam Akbar, Muhammad Ali and others addressed the awareness seminar and briefed about the importance of the breast feeding.
They stressed the need of providing breastfeeding to the newborn for six months because the gets affected by different diseases if he is deprived of breast feeding. They added that the entire world celebrates breast feeding week in the first week of the August.
