ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said that the government is working day and night to improve the economic situation of the country.
Talking to media persons, Maryam Nawaz said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is well aware of the problems being faced by the public but blamed the previous government for the prolonged power outages.
The PML-N leader said that the PTI government left up to 10 hours of load shedding but the new government instead of complaining is taking practical steps to resolve the crisis. We are removing the landmines laid down by Imran Khan, she added.
Reacting to a statement of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid about Imran Khan having prior knowledge of the no-confidence motion against him, the PML-N vice president said that if the former premier knew about the motion why did he make false claims of foreign conspiracy behind his ouster.
Agenda of spreading anarchy and unrest should be encouraged, she added.
