LAHORE: Fraudster Kashif Zameer who is often seen wearing gold chains in luxurious cars has been arrested by the Punjab Police once again after the complaint of Ertugral actor, Engin Altan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Crime Investigation Agency (DSP CIA) Mian Shafqat said: “The Turkish actor had sent a request to Inspector General (IG) Punjab via an email, asking him to register a case against Chaudhry for fraudulent activities, sending him fake cheques, and using his pictures without permission”.
DSP CIA confirmed that whilst searching Kashif’s house, a vehicle with blue light and a green number plate was recovered adding that a case has also been registered against the scammer on behalf of the Turkish actor at the Racecourse Police Station.
According to the DSP, all the gold in Kashif Zameer’s possession was fake and he used it to impress people with an intention to defraud them.
Kashif Zameer had sent fake cheques and bank drafts to Engin Altan worth a whopping 9 crore rupees. A further 6 cases of fraud have also been registered against Kashif Zameer in Lahore and Sialkot.
It further emerged that Kashif had promised Engin Altan $1 million but only gave a cheque of $5000 which bounced.
