
Iqbal Qasim, former Test cricketer and chief selector, tested positive for coronavirus and now on recovery, wife confirms.
The 67-year-old decided to get himself checked after complaining of symptoms associated with the coronavirus. The results came out positive and Iqbal has since kept himself isolated.
His wife, Samina Qasim, told this correspondent that with the help of antibiotics and fever reducing medications, he is on the way to recovery.
She said that Iqbal had requested his fans to pray for him, adding that, he will soon have his Covid-19 and the antibodies test done.
Samina further said: “Our gratitude goes out to his doctors and especially to Dr. Adnan Khan [Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician] for the guidance and care.”
