5 Ways to Stay Cool this Pakistani Summer

Pakistani summers can get pretty hot with temperatures rising up to 45 degrees celsius.

Here are a few ways you can keep cool and avoid the blistering heat!

1 – Drink Cold Water

A glass of ice-cold water feels heavenly during a hot summer day so make sure you keep yourself hydrated with lots of water.

You can also enjoy healthy drinks like fresh juices, milkshakes and the traditional Lassi which is made from fresh yoghurt.

It may also be a good idea to take cold showers so that your body stays cool despite the heat outside.

The more hydrated you are, the less hot you’ll feel so try it out!

2 – Eat lots of Fruits

It’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and eating fruits can ensure you get all the good nutrients and vitamins your body needs.

Eat fruits which are fresh and easily available.

Mangos are a culinary delight in Pakistan and are readily available in the market.

3 – Exercise Indoors

While it is boiling inside, it may be a nice idea to exercise indoors.

Yoga is a great exercise which can be easily done indoors and doesn’t require any equipment, except for a yoga mat which can be replaced by something handy and readily available.

Other exercises such as pushups, situps and the like can also be done inside, without the need to travelling to the gym.

4 – Take Evening Walks

Taking care of your body is the best thing you can do for yourself and it is important that you remain active and walk throughout the day.

On a windy evening, try taking a walk in a park nearby to refresh both your body and mind.

5 – Practicise Gratitute and Humility

It is important to remain mindful and feel grateful for the situation they’re in and make the most of the time they have.

Whether you have an AC or fan or even nothing to keep yourself cool, it is important to stay grounded and not allow the weather to dominate your thoughts.
