Ex- SAPM Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has been appointed as Special Assistant to CM Punjab on information and broadcasting.
Meanwhile, Fayyaz Chohan has been removed as the Punjab government’s information minister.
Chohan will remain the minister for colonies while Punjab’s information department will also be headed by Awan.
Previously, Firdaus Aashiq Awan was removed as SAPM Information after severe corruption allegations emerged alleging that she had taken bribes for government advertisements and also misused the cars at her disposal.
Two other ministers Mehar Muhammad Aslam and Zawar Hussain Warraich have also been removed from their posts along with Chohan.
Mehar Muhammad Aslam was the minister for cooperatives and Zawar Hussain Warraich was the minister for prisons.
