ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday contacted Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.
According to the sources, both the leaders discussed the country’s overall political situation and the situation developed after resignations of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) from PDM.
Both also talked about the future strategy including matters related to the long march.
Nawaz and Fazl agreed to move forward against the PTI government and stick to the agenda of the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
Earlier, PPP and the ANP have parted their ways with the PDM over the issuance of show-cause notice.
PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) has called upon its members to resign from all positions of the PDM.
