MULTAN/ISLAMABAD: Makhdoom Zain Qureshi has rejected rumours of an alleged meeting between his father Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
In an exclusive conversation with The Pakistan Daily, Zain Qureshi held that these rumours were “fake news”.
Earlier, former Foreign Minister made a speech in which he claimed that his own party, PTI conspired against him in the 2018 elections in Punjab.
Shah Mahmood was a top contender for the post of CM Punjab back in 2018, however, internal rifts purportedly did not allow this to happen.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi is also the Vice Chairman of PTI and is considered the top leader in the party after Imran Khan.
Various analysts claimed that Shah Mahmood would leave PTI and join PPP, however, this could not be substantiated.
