MITHI: The central leader of the Pakistan People Party (PPP) Dr Nafisa Shah has highly praised the beauty of the Karoonjhar hills.
Dr Shah who visited different historical locations with religious significance along with local people leaders including Sardar Khan Khoso, Samtra Manjani and Ashok Chouhan a few days back tweeted her four pictures at the ancient places of the region and stated ” spent the day in the magnificent Karoonjhar” she said and thanked her guests. ” The granite hills, filled with timeless beauty, history and culture are property of the people of Nagarparkar ” she added and demanded that mining at such sites should strictly be forbidden.
The people of Tharparjar especially the leaders of Karoonjhar Sujag Forum: Zulfikar Ali Khoso; Allah Rakhio Khoso, Dileep Permar and others not only retweeted her tweet but shared its screenshots on different social media sites and thanked her for her views regarding the beauty of the sites and effects of the mining at different points of Karoonjhar hills.
They said that such healthy activities by the PPP leaders and the subsequent remarks on Karoonjhar hills and other points of the region would certainly boost tourism in the Parkar region. They also requested Dr Shah to invite her other fellow lawmakers from different parts of the country to visit Karoonjhar hills and beautiful sites of the region.
Dr Shah and her hosts from Tharparkar during their stay also went to the ancient Churio temple near the Indian border, some Jain temples and hills of Karoonjhar.
