MITHI: Hundreds of the workers of PTI and supporters of Arbab Group on Wednesday gathered at Fangario Bus Stop near Mithi town where they staged the demonstration for several hours in favour of their demands.
The flow of the traffic on Mithi- Mirpurkhas and Badin road remained suspended due to a big protest demonstration and the commuters had to face difficulties to reach their destinations.
The Special Assistant to Prime Minster on Sindh Affairs, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim speaking to the enraged protesters, who joined the rally from different remote areas of the desert district, and other areas of the province to show their solidarity with the people of Thar, said that police officials posted in Tharparkar had let loose the regin of terror on their supporters and voters for past many months.
Dr Rahim held SSP Tharparkar Hassan Sardar Niazi responsible for the registration of dozens of the cases against their supporters on the flimsy charges at the behest of PPP leaders adding he said that it was the height of the political victimization against them adding he vowed to resist such moves with the support of the people of Tharparkar. He said that Mr Niazi had proved himself real puppet in the hands of PPP leaders and warned him of the dire consequences if he did not behave like public servant. He said that he had never seen such a stupid and ill-mannered police officer in Tharparkar, who according to him, was only intrested to flatter the PPP rulers with no respect for his uniform and official obligations.
The former Chief Minister of Sindh alleged that hundreds of the FIRs had registered against them and supporters since 2008 at various police stations of Tharparkar and other districts on the concocted charges in order to politically victimise them and to change their political loyalty. He alleged that SSP Niazi soon after his posting in the district acted like the estate manager of the PPP leaders and ordered the SHO of different police stations of the district to register the FIR against their supporters and voters on very flimsy charges and during their detention they were subjected to inhuman torture adding he said that the desert district had turned into a living hell for their supporters due to vindictiveness of PPP leaders. . He said that they were forced to give the call to his supporters and PTI workers to come on the roads to register their protest against such brutalities.
He said that PTI workers were directly targeted and brutally tortured when they had protested against the murder of one Dodo Bheel at the hands of guards of the mining firm. . He said that Thar had always been a peaceful district and people despite political differences always had lived peacefully but over the past few years the PPP leaders had crossed all the limits of the victimization and subjected their supporters to the worst type of torture.
He alleged that the corrupt and inefficient rulers of Sindh instead of doing any service to the people of the province were only interested in looting and plundering and those raising their voice against them had to bear the brunt. He said that they were not scared of the cruel rulers but they just wanted to inform the people of the country that how terribly they were treating their political rivals in districts like Thar.
He said that it was mere the dream of few individuals to topple the government of Imran Khan but they would get nothing except humiliation and more rifts within their ranks and files. He said that Prime Minister Imran was sincerely trying to steer the country out of the crisis but few corrupt and ‘misguided’ people were daydreaming to to oust him and come in power by hook or by crook.
He said that PPPP leaders had been left unbridled to not only make money through scans but were also killing the people with impunity.
Dr Rahim claimed that he was invited by Asif Ali Zardari through Chaudhary Pervez Illahi , Rehman Malik and some other friends to join PPP but he had refused and rather preferred to join PTI in the best interests of the country . He said that the PPP was no longer a political party and was now a bunch of the corrupt and criminals, who wanted to perpetuate their rule in Sindh by committing the criminal activities and looting more public money. He alleged that PPP rulers had already pushed the province to backwardness where people had to live very miserable lives.
Dr Rahim also lashed out at PPP MNA from Tharparkar, Dr Mahesh Kumar Malani and warned him to mend his ways and stop doing the dirty politics. ” Dr Malani and his cronies after committing massive corrupt practices have now used police force to silence their political opponents” he added and said that they would teach lessons to such people, who according to him, were the real people behind such a mess.
He said that PPP rulers in Sindh had posted most corrupt and criminal officials like Sardar Niazi to not only mint money but to suppress their political opponents.
Dr Rahim hoped that the federal government would take notice of their mammoth protest and order an inquiry against Mr Niazi adding he said that they would continue their peaceful protest with the support of their thousands of supporters until their demands were accepted and SPP and other police officials were transferred from the district. Dr Rahim said that they would continue their protest demonstration on the open road till their demands were met adding he made it clear that they wanted the immediate removal and explusion of SSP Mr Niazi from Tharparkar.
Arbab Arbab Anwar Jabbar, Arbab Zaffarullah Arbab Imran, Khan Sahib Togachi, Arbab Mohammad Ibrahim, Haji Qamaruddin Rahimoon and others also spoke on the occasion. The participants of the protest demonstration said that they would remain at the venue until the acceptance of their demands.
