ISLAMABAD/KABUL: The Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lt Gen Faiz Hameed on Saturday met with Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the leader of the Hizb-e-Islami party.
According to the sources, during the meeting both discussed issues related to forming an inclusive new government.
Sources have claimed that DG ISI has also met Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar during his trip to Kabul.
Earlier, Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lt Gen Faiz Hameed on Saturday arrived in Kabul leading a Pakistani delegation for meetings with the Taliban on the future of Pakistan and Afghanistan ties.
Lt Gen Faiz Hameed is the highest-ranking foreign official to be invited by the Taliban in Afghanistan so far.
Meanwhile, a senior Pakistani official earlier told Reuters that Pakistani security officials could go to Afghanistan to reorganise the Afghan military.
