CTD arrests three terrorists in Punjab

LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday arrested three suspected terrorists from different parts of Punjab.

According to CTD spokesperson, the CTD conducted 49 combing and search operations, in which 50 localities were checked in different districts of the province, adding that 2713 suspects were interrogated, 517 persons were biometrically checked and three suspects were arrested. Weapons and explosive materials including one pistol and 30 bores were recovered from the arrested suspects.

He said four FIRs were registered against the arrested persons in Yeki Gate Lahore, Civil Line Mandi Bahauddin, Dunyapur and Nowshera Khushab. The suspects have been transferred to an unknown location, while further investigations are underway.

The spokesman said the CTD is proactively pursuing its goal of a safe and secure Punjab and will not leave any stone unturned in its efforts to bring terrorists and anti-state elements behind bars.
