Covid-19: Pakistan records 901 new cases, 23 deaths in last 24 hrs

ISLAMABAD: 23 more people died during the third wave of coronavirus across the country during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll from the disease to 22,211.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the overall death toll has reached 22,211. Moreover, 901 cases were reported across the country.

During the past 24 hours, 44,544 tests were conducted while the positive cases rate remained at 2.02 per cent. 1,347 patients have also recovered from the virus.

At least 335,555 coronavirus cases have so far been confirmed in Sindh, 345,796 in Punjab, 137,628 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,565 in Islamabad, 27,003 in Balochistan, 20,212 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,984 in Gilgit Baltistan.
