ISLAMABAD/BEIJING: Following the issuance of Pakistan’s dossier for pieces of evidence against Indian state terrorism, China said that they will ensure the success of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC); China will continue to support Pakistan against any attempt of sabotaging CPEC.
On Friday Pakistan issued a dossier to UN counterterrorism bodies, consisting of credible pieces of evidence to prove Indian terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
Pakistan also urged UN counterterrorism bodies to ask India to quit using other countries’ soil against Pakistan. These remarks from Pakistan’s foreign office came as a response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet; in which he stated India has neutralised four terrorists who (allegedly) belong to Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The foreign office of Pakistan stated that India’s false narrative of “cross-border terrorism” over the years has no credibility. In addition to that Pakistan also reminded that India has a history of false flag operations in Indian occupied Kashmir.
As a response to the credible evidence provided by Pakistan, the Chinese foreign ministry stated that any act of sabotaging CPEC would not succeed. With the support of China, Pakistan, and the international community the security and success of CPEC will be ensured.
During a briefing, Zhao Lijian said, “China calls on the international community, the regional countries in particular, to carry out counterterrorism cooperation and safeguard collective security.” These remarks came as a response to foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar’s briefing in which they claimed that India has been involved in acts of terrorism to sabotage CPEC.
