ISLAMABAD: A special meeting of the apex committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will be held today (Wednesday).
Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar will preside over a meeting of the SIFC apex committee. The meeting will be held at the PM Office. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir will also attend the meeting.
The meeting will also be attended by civil and military officials. The meeting will review investment measures and approve projects related to agriculture, minerals, mining, energy and IT.
According to sources, the chief ministers and chief secretaries of of the four provinces will also participate in the meeting. Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries are expected to invest $6bn in corporate farming by 2028.
