Bodies of Six Abducted Labourers Found in Balochistan

The bodies of six labourers who were abducted in Balochistan have been found, police said (Geo News).
According to police, four of the victims were residents of Punjab and two were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The labourers were abducted from the Kalatak area on July 28.
The bodies were moved to Quetta and will be transported to the victims’ native towns for burial.
Security sources said the labourers were killed by militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan in Kech district — the designation the military uses for the network it says is backed by India. That attribution originates with security sources and has not been independently verified.
Separately, security forces said four militants were killed in an operation in Khuzdar (Geo News; Radio Pakistan).
The targeting of labourers from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa working in Balochistan has been a recurring feature of the province’s violence, and it is the pattern that connects this killing to the coal mine deaths reported the same week: the province’s manual workforce is drawn substantially from outside it, and bears a disproportionate share of both its industrial and its political dangers.
