ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has won his battle against COVID-19 and according to a party spokesperson the chairman of the party tested negative on Friday.
Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Friday took to Twitter to inform the public on the party heads health. The minister thanked God that the PPP chairman had recovered from the disease.
“Alhamdulillah, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s coronavirus test report has come back negative. May the Lord grant him best of health and a long life. Ameen,” tweeted Shah.
It was this infection which made the PPP chairman miss the PDM rally in Multan on Nov 30 and he had sent his younger sister Aseefa Bhutto Zardari to represent him there.
But the results of this infection were not limited to just political activities as Bilawal could not take part in his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari’s engagement ceremony last week. Nonetheless, as per stories, the PPP chairman witnessed the ceremony on-line by way of video name.
On Nov 25, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that he had tested positive for coronavirus and went into self-isolation.
The PPP chairman, in a tweet, had said: “I have tested positive for #COVIDー19 & am self isolating with mild symptoms.”
The chairman PPP joins, among many others, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, both who tested positive but subsequently recovered from the coronavirus.
Will Bilawal participate in PDM’s Lahore Jalsa?
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal will participate in the opposition parties’ bloc Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) Lahore rally on December 13, The Pakistan Daily (TPD) Investigations Desk has learnt.
This exclusive information was also confirmed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Sehar Kamran in an exclusive conversation with The Pakistan Daily’s correspondent on Friday.
The female Senator said: “Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto came to Lahore in April 1986 and a sea of people greeted her leaving the then-dictator flabbergasted.”
Sehar Kamran added: “The current regime having the same dictatorial mindset seems panic-stricken of the fact that history might repeat itself when Bilawal Bhutto arrives in Lahore for the PDM jalsa”.
