CHARSADDA: Former Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Begum Naseem Wali Khan passed away on Sunday.
According to family sources, Begum Naseem Wali was suffering from diabetes and heart ailments.
Begum Wali was the widow of veteran ANP leader Abdul Wali Khan, and the first woman to be elected to the frontier provincial assembly in 1977. She was elected on a general seat.
She served as a provincial and a parliamentary leader for the party and was elected to the provincial assembly three times.
She was the mother of Sangeen Wali and Asfandyar Wali.
The funeral will be held at 6 pm on Sunday at Wali Bagh, Charsadda.
