Senior journalist Ayaz Amir’s daughter-in-law has been murdered in the Chak Shahzad area of ​​Islamabad.

According to the sources, Ayaz Amir’s ex-wife called police to report on Daughter in law’s murder.

Sources said that it had been just three months since Sara and Shah Nawaz had been married.

They met online, the sources said, adding that Sara worked in Dubai and had reached Pakistan just a day back and purchased a car.

The couple reported got into an argument at night at the farmhouse where they were staying with Shah Nawaz’s mother. The sources said Shah Nawaz hit Sara with an iron object and she fainted. After this, he reportedly moved her to a bathtub and opened the water tap.

A forensic survey of the crime scene has been completed and the murder weapon and other evidence sent for analysis, the sources said, adding that Shah Nawaz’s mother witnessed everything and called the police.

According to Islamabad police, the 37-year-old was living at a farmhouse in the area where she was found dead this morning. Reportedly, she was murdered with a dumbbell and her husband, Shah Nawaz, is the prime suspect in the case.

Police and investigation teams reached the crime scene and the journalist’s son was arrested after earlier fleeing from the crime scene.

Meanwhile, Journalist Ayaz Amir said, “I am shocked at the tragedy”.

Ayaz Amir refused to comment on whether his son was under the influence of any narcotics.

Sources privy to the situation told The Pakistan Daily that Sara was Shahnawaz Amir’s third wife & was murdered with a dumbell during an argument.

Whilst it has not been confirmed, it is being claimed that the farmhouse where the murder took place belonged to the Pirzadas.
