Most of the residents of Awaran usually depend upon agriculture they always do it. Some of the residents go to Gulf countries for their levilihood. Canal system can be explained as they constructed way of the rain water used for irrigation. From initially til now Awaran depending upon canal system. Water shortage (Opinion)

Currently, water shortage is a common issue everywhere in Pakistan. It seems that many areas are suffering from it due to water scarcity. This issue is involving the entire Pakistan quickly. Especially, some areas of Balochistan do not have clean drinking water to Quench their thirst. District Dera Bughti is the place where people died for a drop of water. Using water of running rivers and lacks by the people of said area caused them multiple diseases due to which they have left using it further. That’s why, today they lack enough water which they could use to water themselves.

Awaran is one of the largest districts of Balochistan with an area of nearly 29,510 square kilometres. Sadly Awaran is deprived of all basic facilities such as education, electricity, road infrastructure, and a poor telecommunication system. There is not a single district which is like Awaran.
