PTI loses major wicket as Nadeem Afzal Chan resigns

LAHORE: Special Assistant to PM on Parliamentary Affairs Nadeem Afzal Chan tendered his resignation on Friday. According to initial reports, his resignation comes immediately after PM Imran Khan warned ministers in yesterday’s cabinet meeting that they will be expelled from the cabinet if they criticize the government’s policies. Sources informed The Pakistan Daily that one of the major reasons behind Chan’s exit was the PM’s delay in visiting Machh massacre victims’ families who were demanding justice by staging a protest in freezing temperatures on Quetta’s Western Bypass. Chan was appointed PM Khan’s special assistant on parliamentary affairs in January 2019.

Ibrar Hussain Tanoli bids farewell to JUI-F

Former provincial minister, Ibrar Hussain Tanoli, on Monday, announced that he had parted ways with the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl. IHC constitutes a medical board to examine Zardari’s health

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday ordered to constitute a medical board to ascertain former president Asif Ali Zardari’s ailment and asked to submit medical reports within two weeks. Following Zardari’s pre-arrest bail plea, the high court decided to constitute a medical board to review his health condition. The court directed relevant authorities to constitute a medical board besides including the medical superintendent (MS) of Ziauddin Hospital as a member. The relevant authorities have been directed to submit Asif Zardari’s medical reports within two weeks, while accepting petitioner’s plea for his exemption of personal appearance in the hearing.
