ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi conveniently falls ill after Shehbaz Sharif’s election victory.
According to the President’s spokesperson, President Alvi has complained of pain and inconvenience, while the doctor has examined him thoroughly and advised to rest for a few days.
Sources said Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani will administer oath to the prime minister-elect.
On the other hand, the Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, Governors and Chief Ministers have been invited to the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Earlier today, Shehbaz Sharif was elected unopposed as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan in a National Assembly session. PTI boycotted today’s election of the prime minister. Shehbaz received 174 votes.
