Arbab Ghulam Rahim lashes out at Sindh govt for the unabated political victimisation on their supporters by Thar police

MITHI: Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Sindh Affairs has said that they will stage the historic protest demonstration on Mithi-Mirpurkhas and Badin road on Wednesday (today) near Mithi town to register their protest against the unchecked excesses by police officials on their supporters and voters.

Dr Ghulam Rahim peaking to this media persons here on Tuesday said that they had been forced to ask their voters and supporters to gather at Fangario Bus Stop to stage the demonstration to register their peaceful protest against what he called the reign of terror being unleashed on their supporters, voters and common people of Thar by police officials posted in the desert district on the behest of PPP leaders.

He alleged that police on the directions of high-ups of Sindh government and top PPP leadership had turned Thar a living hell for their supporters and they had been implicating them in cases on the false and flimsy charges just to change their loyalties adding he said that having found no way out at the end of the tunnel they had decided to resorting to holding the show to show their strength peacefully.

Dr Rahim said that he and other PTI leaders would lead the protesters during their peaceful demonstration to express their anger and indignation against the unchecked brutalities and atrocities being committed on their supporters without any justification.

“Any move or police action to disperse the peaceful protesters during their protest near Mithi town will be resisted” he warned and demanded the immediate removal of SSP Tharparkar and other officials, who according to him, were acting as the estate managers of PPP leaders.

PTI leaders including former MNA Arbab Zakaullah , Arbab Anwar Jabbar, Krishan Sharma, Arbab Fawad Razzak, Barrister Zaffarullah, Amin Sangrasi, and other leaders talking to the media persons on Tuesday said that they had been left with no other option but to come on the roads to register their protest against the unabated brutalities being unleashed on their supporters and voters at behest of PPP leadership.

They said that that several thousands people from across the desert district would participate their scheduled sit-i and demonstration to show their anger and resentment adding they made it clear they had no other political agenda but to expose the true face of PPP leaders, who according to them, had made the lives of their supporters miserable by getting them implicated in cases on false and fabricated charges to politically victimise them. They said that PTI lawmakers and leaders from different districts would also participate in the demonstration and would speak to the protesters and media persons.

They said that they had made arrangements for their peaceful protest adding they warned of the dire consequences if their supporters were prevented from taking part in their peaceful protest.
