KARACHI:
The Health Asia Exhibition is being held at the Karachi Expo Center from October 23 to 25 and is the largest health exhibition held in Pakistan with more than 200 exhibitors this year and more than 24 countries participating, including Iran, China and Russia.
“The destination you have chosen – the right place is here,” said Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal, addressing representatives of foreign companies. “Our country’s population is getting bigger and bigger. It’s a big market…The economy is of scale here.”
Below are some of the standout exhibitors at the event.
All in one X-ray machine — Rays Medical World
A Pakistani company specializes in manufacturing and supplying imaging equipment such as MRI machines, CT scans, and X-ray technology. They are currently innovating with a new kind of all-in-one X-ray machine that can take both whole-body images and targeted X-rays.
Director of Rays Medical World Muhammad Rafiq said the company has produced basic X-ray machines that are installed in many hospitals across Pakistan and that compared to imported models, which can cost up to Rs 15 million, these models cost only Rs 4 million.

Heart Rate Monitoring Patch — Aman Ventures
Aman Ventures has a digital health platform called AViCA, which enables optimized healthcare for patients and providers. They launched AViCardia: a waterproof, reusable patch that provides up to 7 days of Holter Monitoring — monitoring one’s heartbeat for any abnormalities — that allows patients and medical professionals to quickly check the health of a patient’s heart (portable electrocardiogram).
“This device is the first of its kind in Pakistan,” claimed a product manager at Aman Ventures, adding that it is currently in the two hospitals in Karachi. Unfortunately, their products are not available for retail, but their product manager said there are plans to bring it to consumers in the future. You can visit them to try and find out what their schedules are.
Custom Ambulances — Al-Bashir Custom Fabrication
Specializing in custom made cars, they focus on manufacturing and supplying vehicles across Pakistan. Most of the vehicles they provide are manufactured locally and they supply hospitals with custom-built ambulances tailored to the needs of each service provider, as well as custom-built cars for private and police use.
They supply organizations like the World Health Organization, Islamabad Capital Development Authority, NADRA and others, but if you want to modify a luxury vehicle for personal use, these are the people to talk to.
Patient Information Capture — Boston Health AI
Integrating AI with healthcare, this company is showing off the “world’s first AI-powered medical assistant where you talk to AI” to help care for patients. According to them, Hami, the AI assistant, can take patient histories and use technologies such as Ambient Scribe, which are AI-based systems designed to passively listen to clinician-patient interactions, transcribe conversations and automatically create structured clinical notes and documentation, to provide treatment and prescribing recommendations.
They add that Hami is intended to streamline a patient’s visit process, so less time is needed to take a history and more time to discuss treatment or diagnosis, and they have currently developed the AI assistant at the Aga Khan University Hospital. If you want to experience Hami for yourself, you can learn more at their booth and even request a tech demo.
Health charity — Hammad Foundation
A non-profit organization providing charitable services such as roti banks providing Rs 10 rotis in Karachi, water plants across Balochistan and Tharparkar. They also have a medical complex in Karachi which provides many services for just Rs50 to Rs100. Talking to the press representative there, we learned that these services are open to everyone.
We highly recommend checking out their booth and learning more about the foundation, as they have merchandise and all of the money from it goes right back as investments for their many projects.
Digital hospital — Novacare Hospital
Pakistan’s first international venture, Novacare Hospital, is set to open its doors in Islamabad in October 2026. They plan to follow British National Health Service standards and will ask international auditors to come in to ensure quality control.
According to a spokesperson, the hospital will attempt to go fully digital to eliminate the use of paper and streamline administrative tasks, and will also look to open institutions in Lahore and Karachi. In addition, they said that the hospital will expand to offer a variety of services over time, and you can visit their booth to learn more about these services.
Cell and Gene Therapy — Bioregeneration Taskin
An Iran-based biotech company specializing in cell and gene therapies, DestroCell’s technology can be used to provide cell therapy to children with Autism, reducing inflammation in the brain, supporting brain repairs and communication pathways, and helping to improve their social behavior.
Their other products help with cellular repair of wounds, both shallow and deep, and they “hope to be able to provide these services in Pakistan soon,” according to their spokesperson, and are interested in talking to people who can help them expand their business. Currently, they operate in Iran and offer services to healthcare providers and educational institutions.
Infertility Treatments — Behrad Royesh Royan
Another Iran-based company is known as the “largest manufacturer of consumer medical equipment in the field of gynecology and infertility treatment.” They have already been introduced in Russia, Lebanon and Iraq and work closely with around 100 centers in Iran for in vitro fertilization (IVF).
In speaking with their representative, I learned that there have been more IVF cases in the last 3 years and they believe this will only increase. This is one of the reasons why they are interested in bringing their business to Pakistan.
Iranian Orthopedic Supplies — Mobtakeran Parsian Darman (BoneTech Co. Ltd)
Founded in Iran in 2008, this company began working in the field of designing and manufacturing a full basket of orthopedic products, including screws, plates, maxillofacial and spine implants. The company reportedly exports to around 55 to 60 countries and tries to work closely with local hospitals.
