Pakistan’s Snoker ace Mohammed Asif wrote a story on Saturday, recording a rare brew 147 during the Snoker National Championship match against Ali Raza.
The maximum break that is considered the climax of Snoker’s score includes the placement of all 15 reds with 15 blacks, followed by all six colors in a single visit to the table.
Asif, 42, became only the second player in the history of Pakistan’s Snoker National Championship who achieved this achievement and the fourth Pakistani as a whole.
The landmark places him next to people such as Saleh Muhammad, who scored 147 in the 2008 Asian Championship, Muhammad Sajjad, who achieved it in the 2021 national champion 2022.
“This is a special time for me and thank everyone who supported me throughout my career,” Asif said after the feat.
Asif won the match 4-2 with a score of 1-0, 54-21, 98 (98) -0, 147 (147) -0, 17-90 (89) and 87-16.
Break 147, also known as a maximum break, is a rare achievement at the highest levels of professional snouts.
It requires a perfect shot, regular capacity and strong nerves, making it the ultimate point of reference to excellence in the sport.
Asif, three times world champion of Snuker of IBSF (2012, 2019, 2024), is a stable player of Pakistani Snoker for more than two decades.
Born in Faisalabad, he has represented Pakistan at many international events, gaining widespread recognition for his consistency and temper.
His triumph in 2012 made him the second Pakistani who won the IBSF World Championship, his victory in 2019 established his legacy as one of the country’s best players in the country and winning the IBSF World Championships last year, ASIF confirmed One of the largest amateur snooker players in the world.
