16-year-old college student ‘gang-raped’ in Karachi, 2 suspects arrested

KARACHI: A 16-year-old girl named Bushra Rajpar was allegedly gang-raped by five persons in Gulshan e Hadeed on Tuesday.

According to the details, 5 young men abducted 16 years old Bushra Rajpar from Gulshan e Hadeed Government college’s gate.

First information report (FIR) filed with Malir Police, stated that the victim is a resident of the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area and the complaint was filed by her father. The victim’s father told the police that his daughter had left her house to go to college on February 9, 2021. But when she did not return home by 1 pm, her family got worried and started searching. Her father reported 15 police and the next day he received a call from a Defence Housing Authority (DHA) police station that his daughter had been found in DHA.

Police said the girl was immediately rushed to the hospital where she later narrated the incident, saying that “three men abducted her and later gang-raped her”.

Suspects

Police also arrested the two suspects and are being interrogated, adding that a medico-legal examination of the suspects is also being carried out. Her father told the police that his daughter can identify the men.

Fir has been lodged but need to raise voice for capital punishment to the accused.
